PRESS RELEASE

NEWTON, Mass. " September 10, 2009 " Cyber-Ark, the leading global software provider for protecting critical applications, identities and information, today announced it has joined the EnterpriseView Partner Program at ArcSight and completed all the necessary requirements for Common Event Format (CEF) certification. ArcSight is a leading global provider of security and compliance management solutions that protect enterprises and government agencies. With CEF certification, customers can benefit from established interoperability between Cyber-Ark's identity management and ArcSight's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Platform in order to better manage and monitor privileged identities, limit and mitigate insider threats, and streamline compliance audits.

The ArcSight and Cyber-Ark partnership represents deep data integration between privileged identity management, managed file transfer and SIEM tools. As a result, Cyber-Ark becomes a privileged identity audit trail source for the ArcSight platform. The flexible configuration of Cyber-Ark's Privileged Identity Management syslog output, entitlement reports and alerts allows for ease-of-integration with the ArcSight platform to help customers create a complete security and audit picture of enterprise-wide privileged account activities.

"Until recently, valuable privileged user event data was being collected, but it wasn't being shared with SIEM platforms," said Jeff Scheel, senior vice president, business development at ArcSight. "Through CEF certification, Cyber-Ark closes that gap, giving customers a more comprehensive, intelligent view of privileged user activity. This integration with Cyber-Ark allows organizations to expand the range of weapons available to combat growing and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats to privileged user data."

Cyber-Ark's Privileged Identity Management Suite provides a central point of control for enterprises to achieve exceptional security, increase operational efficiency, and enable compliance with regulations and best practices across different types of privileged accounts. Any activity that happens on Cyber-Ark's platform, including accessing sensitive data, servers, databases, applications or network devices, can be sent to the ArcSight platform for activity analysis of the user(s) in question, and aggregated event storage for compliance purposes. Customers will further benefit from Cyber-Ark's ability to generate alerts and traps, and provide timely notifications to the ArcSight platform about privileged access. These notifications help companies create clear and easily-traceable audit trails as well as identify insider anomalies. "Together, Cyber-Ark and ArcSight are pushing the boundaries of the identity management and SIEM worlds and increasing the overall value for customers," said Richard A. Weeks, vice president of business development, Cyber-Ark Software. "Aligning with ArcSight on this integration expands our reach and value proposition to those who need to improve their security stance and better understand who is accessing sensitive information and critical devices. Together with ArcSight, we recognize the impact that our integrated solutions have on the broader information security market and the tremendous potential for our customers and prospects."
