Courion Offers Sun Customers Migration Option

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — September 27, 2010 — Courion Corporation, leaders in access governance, provisioning and compliance, today announced its new Sun Migration Program, a limited-time program developed to help Sun Microsystems’ customers seamlessly and cost-effectively migrate from the Sun Identity Manager application to Courion’s Access Assurance Suite™ solution. This unique program offers Sun customers free consulting, free installation and configuration services when they purchase replacement Courion licenses, and a commitment by Courion to have the new system ready for production within 90 days of the project kickoff.

Oracle, which finalized its acquisition of Sun Microsystems last January, is scaling back its investments in Sun Identity Manager. In addition, Sun customers are reporting that Oracle is significantly increasing Sun maintenance fees. Courion’s Sun Migration Program is designed specifically to combat these market forces and provide Sun customers with a strong and viable identity management roadmap for the future.

The Sun Migration Program consists of four major elements:

* Free Discovery Workshop – Courion experts will meet with Sun customers in a free, no obligation Discovery Workshop to develop a strategic migration plan based on each customer’s specific situation. The customer will fully understand the scope, budget and resources the migration project will require, reducing the risk of moving forward.

* Replacement Licenses – Sun customers will be able to purchase the appropriate Courion licenses to replace Sun Identity Manger licenses, using Courion’s standard discount pricing model, and receive one year of maintenance and support at no additional cost.

* Free Professional Services – Implementation services can be extremely expensive and the possibility of cost overruns can be a substantial risk. Using the migration plan developed during the Discovery Workshop, Courion’s professional services team will install and configure the Access Assurance Suite, using the identities in the customer’s Sun Identity Manager system, and bring the system into production at no cost, saving money and eliminating the risk of budget surprises.

* Quick Time to Value – Courion is committed to getting the new system ready to go into production within 90 days from the official kickoff of the migration project - delivering rapid implementation and a quick time to value for all migrating Sun Identity Manager customers.
