BSI Acquires First Advantage's Supply Chain Security Division
Buy includes First Advantage's Supplier Compliance Manager Web tool and Quantitative Risk Solutions loss prevention assessment program

RESTON, Va., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- BSI today announced the completion of its acquisition of the Supply Chain Security Division of First Advantage Corporation. BSI assumes ownership of First Advantage's Supplier Compliance Manager(R) Web based C-TPAT, AEO and PIP supplier assessment tool; Quantitative Risk Solutions loss prevention assessment program and its proprietary databases. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, the Supply Chain Security Division of First Advantage is a strategic addition to BSI's business. "By synchronizing the Supply Chain Security applications with assessment services and enterprise software solutions, BSI now offers customers a unique proposition encompassing both supply chain security and compliance," said Dan Purtell, Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions.
This acquisition is an important strategic step that emphasizes BSI's vision of providing comprehensive supply chain risk mitigation solutions to the market. The synergistic combination of services will provide customers with a one-stop-shop for assessing trade compliance standards throughout the supply chain, while additionally populating assessments with risk factors derived from BSI's new proprietary cargo tampering and anti-Western terrorism exposure databases. Customers benefiting from the joined up solution will be provided a scientifically validated approach to assessing supplier risk while ensuring their cargo importation is accelerated.
