PRESS RELEASE
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Oct. 14, 2014 — Vectra Networks, a leader in real-time detection of in-progress cyber-attacks, today announced it is a member of the A10 Security Alliance, an ecosystem of leading security and networking companies that are working together to mitigate threats and automate security operations, as launched by A10 Networks today.
By validating interoperability with products from leading security vendors such as Vectra Networks, the A10 Security Alliance has developed specialized solutions for data centers that deliver critical best-of-breed security capabilities required to eliminate and detect advanced threats, limit security incident costs, and reduce the cost of security operations. The A10 Networks® Thunder Application Delivery Controller (ADC) product line delivers SSL Insight™ capability that enables inspection of encrypted flows, adding to the efficacy and accuracy of the Vectra X-series real-time breach detection platforms.
“The A10 Security Alliance provides an ecosystem of validated and integrated solutions that helps our customers architect secure data centers and improve efficiency, and we are pleased to work with Vectra Networks as a member of our new ecosystem program,” said Paul Nicholson, A10 Networks director of product management. “In combination, the Thunder ADC product line’s SSL Insight feature and the Vectra Networks X-series platform eliminate the blind spot imposed by SSL encryption to detect attacks and malware hiding on our joint customers’ networks.”
The A10 Security Alliance empowers organizations to solve today’s top security challenges with integrated and tested solutions. A10 Thunder Series products, in conjunction with A10 Security Alliance members’ products, offer solutions covering SSL visibility to detect advanced threats, authentication for federated security and single-sign-on, automated SSL certificate management and protection, threat and URL intelligence for effective policy decisions, and more. Combining the SSL Insight capability of the A10 Thunder ADC with the automated breach detection of the Vectra Networks X-series platform provides traffic visibility and enables detection of any phase of a cyber attack that is attempting to remain obfuscated in encrypted SSL network traffic.
“We are pleased to join the A10 Security Alliance and further the joint development and integration from our relationship with A10 Networks,” said Mike Banic, VP of Marketing at Vectra Networks. “Program membership validates our combined solution so customers can improve their ability to detect any phase of an attack on their networks, including attacks hidden in SSL traffic. Being part of this program also enables joint sharing of APIs and continued development on future offerings around detection and blocking of attacks for customers. ”
Vectra Networks detects attacks at every phase of an ongoing attack, regardless of how the attack enters an organization’s network and the application, operating system or device involved. The Vectra X-series platform continuously monitors an organization’s network and provides automated, intuitive and prioritized reporting so security analysts can address the highest business risks quickly, rather than spending valuable time sifting through thousands of alerts.
