MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- AirTight NetworksT, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention solutions, today announced it has teamed with MaxWiFi to provide the highest level of wireless security to the hundreds of hotels and motels that employ MaxWiFi to deliver Internet access, travel information, and entertainment services.

MaxWiFi provides a packaged solution for hotels and motels that want to provide Internet access, travel information, and entertainment services to their guests, without having to invest in a lot of equipment and staff. MaxWiFi's solution, CADAT (patent pending), is a first in the industry, bringing a unique revenue sharing model to the hotel or motel operator. The hotel or motel contracts with MaxWiFi, MaxWiFi provides and installs their equipment, and manages the equipment and the services from their network operations center in Omaha, NE. MaxWiFi and the hotel/motel operator share the revenue. MaxWifi has teamed with AirTight Networks to provide a wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) on top of the Cisco WLAN solution they install - for the highest possible level of wireless security for the hotel and its guests.

"Every hotelier today has to provide internet access and entertainment services to their guests," said Shiva Prakash, President and CEO of MaxWiFi. "The most cost effective way to do this - is using a wireless LAN infrastructure, but this introduces some security risks. The AirTight SpectraGuard solution allows MaxWiFi to guarantee to our customers (the hotel) that their customers' (the hotel guests') information is secure and protected."
