SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Apr 21, 2009 Zecurion Inc., the leading developer of information security systems protecting against insider threats, today at the RSA Conference 2009, announced the launch of its email security solution, Zgate, providing companies with unparalleled control over information sent via email. Visit Zecurion at RSA booth #2632.
Zgate ensures that confidential information is not compromised through email by working as a checkpoint, filtering outgoing email messages. With the ability to control emails across the enterprise, the risk of stolen confidential data is minimized. The software also facilitates the investigation into incidents of data breaches by placing emails in quarantine for manual processing or archiving for future review.
"Zgate gives control back to the IT department and piece of mind to the business by constantly monitoring information sent, thereby preventing disgruntled employees from stealing confidential information," said Alexey Raevsky, CEO of Zecurion. "When combined with Zecurion's full suite of internal protection solutions, including Zserver' Suite and Zlock, Zgate completes the powerful triumvirate of software protecting your data from internal threats."
With Zgate, administrators have the ability to set rules for handling emails and attachments. For example, a rule could be created to prohibit emails containing the word "confidential" from being sent to external email addresses. The embedded linguistic analysis module checks for all forms of a given word, verifying the presence or absence of words in text messages or attachments. The module supports the English, Russian, German, French and Italian languages.
The available text component and the internal structure of every file attachment, including compressed attachments, are analyzed to determine the attachment type for more than 70 of the most common applications. Once analysis is complete, messages can be sent, blocked, placed in quarantine for manual processing or archived. Messages placed in quarantine according to a predefined set of rules, are handled by an administrator who can then decide the appropriate action for the message, while also notifying users on the status of the email.
The archive assists with the management of emails that pass through corporations' servers.
All emails are automatically archived in a Microsoft SQL Server database.
Archive size is controlled by automatic deletion of messages over a certain age.
The archive is fully searchable and can be controlled by adjustable access rights.
Zgate is compatible with MS Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and 2008 Server, Vista and all major mail servers operating via the SMTP protocol " Microsoft Exchange Server, IBM Lotus Domino, Sendmail, Postfix, etc.
Zgate is the newest addition to Zecurion's award-winning product lines. Zserver Suite won the 2009 Global Product Excellence Award (Hard-Disk or Storage Encryption), in addition to Product of the Year 2007 (Russian Software Award), Technology of the Year 2005 (Infoforum Exhibition) and First Degree Medal at Security Technologies 2005 Exhibition. Zlock has been awarded Product of the Year 2008 and 2006 (Russian Software Award), First Degree Medal at Security Technologies 2007 Exhibition, as well as Best Innovation in Information Security at Security Technologies Exhibition 2006.
