Utimaco renews certification in accordance with leading US Security Standard

FOXBORO, Mass. and OBERURSEL -- Utimaco – The Data Security Company, today announced that SafeGuard CryptoServer has been awarded a renewed certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the U.S. and the Communications Security Establishment in Canada (CSE) in accordance with Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2, Level 3. SafeGuard CryptoServer is a tamperproof hardware security module (HSM) that securely generates, stores and applies cryptographic keys and certificates during encryption and digital signature processes.
FIPS certification provides customers with objective help in decision-making and creates an atmosphere of trust and acceptance in important customer sectors.
