CUPERTINO, Calif., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Today at VMworld 2010, Trend Micro announced that Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Virtual Appliance (IMSVA) is the first of its kind to achieve VMware Ready(TM) for Mail Security, a new status in the VMware Ready program. Trend Micro underwent a rigorous three-level testing process that included: a VMware Ready application test, a virtual appliance build test, and a Zimbra Collaboration Suite integration test. This collaboration opens a new VMware Ready product category, and gives Trend Micro another opportunity to deepen its relationship with VMware.
A VMware Ready virtual appliance since 2009, Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance's most recent validation in this category provides added assurance that customers will gain a successful deployment of their gateway messaging appliance within a virtualized environment. It guarantees that IMSVA can integrate with one of Zimbra's core products - the Zimbra Appliance, an enterprise-class email and collaboration solution delivered as a virtual appliance that provides email, calendaring, document management, file sharing, mobile-sync and simplified administrative controls all in an award-winning webmail user-interface built on the VMware vSphere(TM) platform.
