St. Bernard's iPrism Web Filtering Appliance Verified As Citrix Ready
Solution to provide consistent application of policy and reporting at the end-user level in a Citrix XenApp environment
December 1, 2008
PRESS RELEASE
San Diego, CA, December 1, 2008, St. Bernard Software, Inc. (OTCBB: SBSW), a leader in Web security appliances, today announced its iPrism Web filter has been verified as Citrix Ready, making it the first appliance-based URL filtering solution verified for a Citrix environment. Customers can now integrate iPrism into their IT infrastructure knowing it will complement their current system and ease Web security management without causing new challenges.
The iPrism Web filter was found to work seamlessly with the Citrix application virtualization solution XenApp, providing effective Web security without compromising performance in the server environment. The Citrix Ready program makes it easy for customers to identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix environments.
Ideal for Citrix environments, iPrism offers the ability to manage and monitor each user's Internet usage with a single appliance. This ensures Web policy stays consistent across an entire organization regardless of where applications are run. Administrators can define Citrix servers on the iPrism and use 'Session Based' authentication, allowing Citrix users the same 'Auto Login' features available to any desktop user. These features result in a unified application of policy and reporting at the individual user level. With iPrism, all traditional content filtering issues related to Citrix are avoided, creating a seamless integration with the Citrix and Active Directory environments.
"iPrism is a sure bet for a Citrix environment, as unlike software-based solutions, our appliance is easy to deploy and does not compromise the security of individual workstations or overburden IT staff and resources," said Steve Yin, vice president of global marketing and sales at St. Bernard Software. "Combining iPrism with a Citrix infrastructure provides users with the security they need, while eliminating the headache, maintenance and worry inherent with solutions that are not optimized for this environment."
