PRESS RELEASE

Boca Raton, FL – June 08, 2011 -- SPAMfighter, a leading provider of anti-SPAM, antivirus and anti-Malware solutions, today announced the release of SPAMfighter Exchange Module (SEM) version 4 that provides enhanced protection against pushed email threats through policy-based email processing. Version 4 delivers a host of new features and improved protection with the same seamless Microsoft Exchange Server integration provided in previous versions of SPAMfighter Exchange Module (SEM). The upgrade is free for current SEM users.

According to the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG), in the second half of 2010, SPAM and unwanted email messages accounted for between 88 and 91 percent of all email messages. MAAWG tracks 500 million e-mailboxes and 200 billion unaltered email messages being delivered. For SMB network users and SMB network administrators, combating spam is a huge productivity killer. Additionally, spam poses a threat to any company or organization through spam borne spyware, virus and phishing attacks. The new SEM v4 represents a major upgrade of SPAMfighter software used by more than 36,000 companies globally.

"SPAMfighter’s SEM version 4 is simply the most powerful and best Exchange server integrated module available today for fighting spam and other pushed email security threats," said Henrik Sorensen, CEO, SPAMfighter. "SEM version 4 is ideal for the fast growing SMB network market and features seven built-in anti-spam and anti-malware filters ranging from content-filtering, sender and address filtering as well as an award-winning built-in anti-virus engine that can be configured at the users’ discretion. We take active user feedback and requests and use that data to fine tune and improve the SPAMfighter Exchange Module as threats evolve and SMB network priorities change.”

The updated SEM version 4 includes a built-in POP3 Connector, which system administrators can use to retrieve e-mails from external mail servers, scan them for spam and malware and deliver them to local mailboxes. This feature is used to retrieve e-mails from mail servers in sub-divisions and deliver them to relevant parties within the organization or allows users to retrieve their personal e-mails and have them delivered in their personal work e-mailboxes.

The SEM core engine has been updated to give better spam filtering, now blocking the latest forms of spam mails and phishing attempts. SPAMfighter Exchange server features:
