PRESS RELEASE
ATLANTA and LONDON, Sept. 16/PRNewswire/ --SecureWorks , a leading, global provider of security services, is streamlining the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Attestation of Compliance (AOC) and FFIEC Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) Self-Assessment Questionnaire processes with Predefined Assessment Programs. These programs are preconfigured with assessment questions based on the PCI and FFIEC guidelines. An organization's affiliates (vendors, partners, internal departments, and service providers) are then rated in accordance with their compliance with these regulations.
The Predefined Assessment Programs reduce the workload of an organization because the research, documentation and analysis required to draft the appropriate questions and rate the affiliate's compliance has already been done. SecureWorks has also developed online Affiliate Compliance Summary Reports which instantly give the overall compliance status of an organization's affiliates.
SecureWorks provides security for approximately 2,600 clients worldwide including four of the Fortune 10. These new initiatives are part of SecureWorks' Compliance Central Service. Compliance Central helps organizations manage the security and compliance risks associated with their affiliate relationships.
In addition to having access to Predefined Assessment Programs for the PCI and FFIEC Self-Assessment Questionnaires, clients of Compliance Central can also easily develop and administer self-assessment questionnaires for CIP, HIPAA, SOX and other regulatory mandates. In the fourth quarter, a Predefined Assessment Program will be available for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) standards to streamline the vendor due diligence process for credit unions.
The new Affiliate Compliance Summary reports enable clients, from one portal view, to retrieve reports summarizing the compliance status of all of their affiliates. Within the portal, clients can drill down to the status of an individual affiliate and their compliance within specific program requirements. An organization can house all of its compliance documentation in Compliance Central's centralized, secure portal. Compliance Central provides clients with a cost-effective way of managing workflow for thousands of affiliates. Additionally, Compliance Central allows affiliates to easily and securely communicate with their managing organizations, complete questionnaires and upload documentation attesting to their security policies and procedures.
"Compliance Central eases the burden of researching and documenting the regulatory guidelines one must adhere to," said Corey Merchant, vice president of product management at SecureWorks. "Compliance Central also removes the manual effort of having to measure an affiliate's progress in meeting one's regulatory requirements. With Compliance Central, SecureWorks provides predefined programs that include the appropriate regulations, as well as on-demand reports that summarize affiliates' compliance. Thus, companies are able to focus their key resources on running the business, while ensuring that their affiliates are complying with the appropriate regulations."
Compliance Central is delivered by SecureWorks through a secure Web interface. Users do not have to purchase, support or maintain hardware, operating systems or databases; making the service affordable, scalable and easy to use.
