MCLEAN, Va. and ATLANTA (October 11, 2010) – Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division for Sage North America, and Ingenico, the leading worldwide supplier of payment solutions, today announced their partnership to bring to market a new integrated payments offering for small and midsized businesses (SMBs). Through the partnership, Sage customers will be able to use Ingenico’s advanced credit card terminals with Sage Exchange connectivity to securely process payments, plus benefit from data integration and two-way communication advantages.
The Ingenico terminals will seamlessly integrate with Sage Exchange, Sage’s secure, Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) certified payments platform. The devices are currently being tested by several Sage customers, and will be generally available later this year.
“Sage Exchange offers small and mid-size businesses a very safe and secure way to seamlessly manage credit card and other payments, using their existing business management software,” said Lisa Shipley, senior vice president of sales for Ingenico, North America. “Ingenico’s partnership with Sage Payments Solutions extends well beyond traditional payment. Ingenico will offer Sage users its latest line of payment hardware, including standalone Ethernet (IP) and wireless terminals and integrated PIN Pads equipped with the Telium' 2 technology. Ingenico will also integrate Incendo Online, its web-based, thin-client terminal application, with Sage Exchange to give SMBs secure, centralized control of their Ingenico payment devices, including 24/7 access to usability enhancements and security updates.
“Ingenico’s Web-enabled technology will allow businesses and organizations to securely capture data that integrates into Sage Exchange,” said Greg Hammermaster, president of Sage Payment Solutions, Sage’s payments division. “The company’s micro browser devices easily update payment applications to provide businesses and organizations with security updates and a suite of value-added capabilities.”
Sage Exchange will allow businesses and organizations to accept all forms and methods of payment, including credit and debit cards, gift/loyalty cards, electronic bank accounts (ACH), and paper & e-checks including electronic check conversion, with seamless data integration to a wide range of Sage business management software products and third-party business software and services.
