NitroSecurity Earns Common Criteria Cert
NitroSecurity announced that its NitroView ESM and NitroGuard IPS, have received security certifications to Common Criteria EAL 3 under the NIAP
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- NitroSecurity, Inc., a provider of high-performance network security monitoring, analysis and protection solutions, today announced that two of its products, NitroView Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) and NitroGuard Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), have received security certifications to Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 3 certification (EAL 3) under the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP).
Common Criteria Certification has become increasingly important for reviewing various security products currently on the market. The evaluation is internationally recognized as a means to ensure a reliable and independent assessment of a technology product’s security capabilities, and offers a level of confidence for security-conscious consumers. In some cases, it is a requirement for making security purchases, especially within the government sector.
Common Criteria accreditation confirms that NitroView ESM and NitroGuard IPS adhere to required standards for federal government security products. Specifically, that the products’ capabilities, development environment, documentation and product testing mechanisms meet or exceed the assurance levels defined by the international standards.
“Completing Common Criteria testing is a very important corporate milestone,” says Ken Levine, CEO, NitroSecurity. “We are committed to providing our customers with superior security solutions that have undergone rigorous independent evaluation. As NitroSecurity continues to expand its footprint within the government market, this evaluation is increasingly important to demonstrate the quality of our products.”
