EdgeSSL is a one-stop SSL Certificate solution for the NetDNA content delivery network

PRESS RELEASE
LOS ANGELES and BOSTON – April xx, 2012 – NetDNA, a tier 1 content delivery network (CDN) provider, and GlobalSign, a leading provider of online security solutions, announced today that they are partnering to launch EdgeSSL, a one-stop secure sockets layer (SSL) Certificate solution for the NetDNA content delivery network.
EdgeSSL provides communication security over the Internet and is critical for e-commerce shopping carts, as well as many other critical applications, to ensure the confidentiality and security of credit card transactions and other personal information. Most online users today will not interact with a website that does not have an SSL Certificate.
EdgeSSL features instant provisioning for a low monthly fee, making it one of the most cost-effective services on the market compared to other CDN providers. The services include National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-certified 256-bit encryption, fast and secure data transfer and simple, web-based Certificate management. Since EdgeSSL stacks reside on the NetDNA network, customer origin server computational load is off-loaded onto the network.
GlobalSign, one of the longest established Certificate authorities and specialists in SSL security, will issue SSL Certificates for NetDNA, enabling customers to conduct secure online transactions and data submission. GlobalSign is a WebTrust public Certificate authority offering Certificates trusted by all popular browsers, operating systems, devices and applications. GlobalSign offers a range of digital Certificate solutions allowing its customer base to conduct secure online transaction, data transfer, distribution of tamper-proof code, and protection of online identities for secure email, access control, and mobile security.
The EdgeSSL service provides GlobalSign SSL Certificates supplied upon request for each NetDNA client and is implemented throughout the NetDNA network within minutes. Using a tight integration and automation technology developed by GlobalSign called OneClickSSL, NetDNA is able to instantly implement EdgeSSL Certificates and avoid delays and technical setup hassles for clients. OneClickSSL is a automated SSL technology that replaces the slow and error prone process of Certificate signing request (CSR) creation, key management, approver emails and Certificate installation with a simple and easy-to-deploy solution. Companies can also transfer their own SSL Certificate to NetDNA using the same easy process.
“Our close working partnership with GlobalSign means we can deliver a trusted SSL service to enterprises with none of the delays and management hassles that are normally experienced today,” said Chris Ueland, president of NetDNA. “Combined with NetDNA’s high-performance CDN service, EdgeSSL delivers a complete package that is a true alternative for companies of all sizes.”
“We are delighted to welcome NetDNA on board as a GlobalSign partner, sharing in the ongoing success and adoption of GlobalSign’s OneClickSSL technology,” said Frank Romito, senior manager of strategic partnerships at GlobalSign. “We look forward to providing trusted SSL Certificates using OneClickSSL, which will eliminate the usual SSL ordering and installation errors experienced by NetDNA’s customer base,
