nCircle announced a strategic alliance with RSA based on the nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service
SAN FRANCISCO -- nCircle, the leading provider of agentless security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with RSA, The Security Division of EMC, based on the nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service. This strategic alliance provides merchants with a comprehensive portfolio of products and services to help ensure compliance of their internal and external payment network with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard version 1.1.
The nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service, one of the first to be certified on the more rigorous PCI Data Security Standard version 1.1, delivers the most up to date, fully automated security protection for merchants of all sizes. The service enables merchants to conduct quarterly scans of their externally facing payment network to verify compliance, a core requirement of the data security standard. nCircle’s service, alongside the RSA® PCI Solutions portfolio, helps provide merchants with a best-in-class set of security solutions for ensuring compliance of their internal and external networks with the PCI DSS v1.1.
“The RSA PCI Solutions portfolio is designed to enable merchants to effectively discover and manage credit card information; secure that data, as well as access to the data and related technology systems; and then respond to audits and potential security threats,” said Steve Preston, Senior Director, Solutions Marketing, RSA, The Security Division of EMC. “The nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service, along with the RSA PCI Solutions portfolio, ensures that we are helping our customers move from a reactive to proactive stance in order to address compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard.”
nCircle also delivers solutions in addition to the nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service. nCircle solutions profile and inventory all network devices on a merchant’s payment network, providing a comprehensive view of network security risk. This information provides merchants with actionable information to help them strategically focus resources on eliminating the highest priority threats to maintain maximum customer card data security and integrity for continued PCI compliance.
“PCI compliance is the next big security challenge for businesses of all sizes, especially in this era of continuous data breaches and identity theft,” said Stefan Petry, Vice President of Product Management, nCircle Network Security. “RSA and nCircle have collaborated to deliver a comprehensive approach to the education and services that organizations need to make sure they are PCI compliant.”
