NEW YORK -- Logicworks (www.logicworks.net), an enterprise level Managed Service Provider (MSP), today announced that it has successfully completed its Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS70), Type II examination in conformity with the controls and objectives of independent auditor, Rothstein Kass.

The SAS 70 provides assurance about whether the descriptions of the service organizations' controls are fairly stated, whether the controls are suitably designed, whether these controls are operating effectively, and provides guidance for independent auditors who issue reports on the processing of transactions by a service organization for use by other auditors.

Logicworks customers who are required to comply with regulations such as Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which requires management to establish, maintain and assess an internal control structure for financial reporting, can now take immediate advantage of this certification. By outsourcing data hosting or transaction processing that affect a company's financial reporting to Logicworks, customers have an immediate means to have the necessary data center controls in place to satisfy their compliancy needs.

"Our compliance-conscious high-availability customers require the business assurance and compliance that only a SAS 70 Type II report can provide," explained Ken Ziegler, Logicworks CFO. "The controls that were tested provide a clear indication of Logicworks' operating effectiveness - specifically in terms of our ability to deliver on the promises we make to customers regarding policies and procedures, physical and data security, and data backup and recovery services."
