PRESS RELEASE

HELSINKI, FINLAND and WELLESLEY, Mass. - Dec. 16, 2008 - SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, today announced that Logica has selected and implemented SSH Tectia' for securing file transfers and data connections between workstations and application servers for the City of Helsinki. With the deployment of the solution, the city's employees can safely access and use financial applications from their workstations knowing that sensitive financial data is kept confidential and unchanged during data transmission.

The City of Helsinki was looking for an easy and cost-effective security solution to access financial applications running on off-site application servers situated at Logica's datacenters. The goal was to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of both terminal connections and file transfers throughout the city's network. After rigorous technical product evaluation, SSH Tectia was deployed on more than 1,300 workstations and application servers in August.

"It was paramount to us to be able to provide the security level needed by our customers. We are pleased that the City of Helsinki has chosen SSH Tectia to protect their file transfers and data-in-transit, and to do that with minimal disruptions to systems and users," said Leena-Mari Lhteenmaa, managing director, Logica. "The data for our customers must be kept confidential at all times."

"We are pleased of the continued trust that is being put in us by Logica and the City of Helsinki," said Jari Mielonen, CEO, SSH Communications Security, Corp. "I believe that SSH Tectia is a perfect and cost-effective match for securing the city's financial applications."
