James Cash, Jr., Ph.D., Joins Veracode Board

Cash also serves on boards at Microsoft, Wal-Mart, General Electric

" November 16, 2009 " Veracode Inc., provider of the world's leading cloud-based application risk management services platform, today announced that James Cash, Jr., Ph.D., Emeritus James E. Robison Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University Business School, was named to its board of directors.

"Jim has been a leader in the world of information technology for over three decades and has unique insight into the business environment from his work with Fortune 50 companies," said Matt Moynahan, CEO of Veracode. James Cash, Jr., Ph.D., is Emeritus James E. Robison Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University Business School, where he served from July 1976 to October 2003. Dr. Cash also served as chairman of the MBA program and the senior associate dean and chairman of HBS Publishing while at the Harvard. He serves as a director of The Chubb Corporation, General Electric Company, Wal-Mart, Microsoft Corporation and is an LP in Banner 17 - the LLC that owns the Boston Celtics.

Dr. Cash's other activities have included serving as a Trustee or Overseer for non-profit organizations such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners Healthcare, the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation and The Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture. He has worked with many companies and governments around the world in both consulting and teaching assignments. He regularly convenes meetings of CIOs and business executives to whom the CIO reports, in invitation-only programs offered by The Cash Catalyst.
