HR Awards Ethernet Leaders

NEW YORK -- Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the world's leading online publication for the telecom industry, and Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), its prestigious market research division, have announced the winners of their 2006 Ethernet Service Provider of the Year Awards for North America.

The awards were based on interviews Heavy Reading conducted with dozens of North American service providers, finding out what type of Ethernet infrastructure they are deploying and what challenges they face.

"It's a pretty comprehensive look at what's going on in the market, and I think we've talked to all the significant operators and many of the niche players," stated Stan Hubbard, Ethernet Expo 2006 Conference Chair and Heavy Reading Senior Analyst.

The winners were announced during Light Reading's Ethernet Expo 2006, which took place on October 23-25 at the Hilton New York. A combined conference and exhibition focused on Ethernet's evolution as an enabler of next-generation enterprise and consumer services and applications, the Ethernet Expo series has emerged as the best-attended Ethernet event in the industry.
