PRESS RELEASE
SYDNEY, Nov. 24, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Ground Labs, a global leader in the payment card industry, recently introduced EBCDIC support to make its security and auditing software solutions for PCI compliance compatible with many enterprise legacy systems.
"Our Card Recon and Enterprise Recon products use advanced scanning techniques to identify instances of insecure cardholder data storage," says Stephen Cavey, director of corporate development for Ground Labs, "but until recently their reach was limited by the need for EBCDIC support."
Peter Duthie, chief architect for Ground Labs, explains that many large organizations use older legacy systems for processing payment card data. These systems may use Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code, or EBCDIC, and migrating to a different platform can be prohibitive. "Our EBCDIC support offers these organizations a way to achieve and maintain compliance with PCI DSS 2.0 without needing to abandon their legacy systems," says Mr. Duthie.
"Supporting enterprise legacy platforms by offering EBCDIC support is just one example of our commitment to working closely with QSAs and meeting the needs of our growing customer base," says Mr. Cavey.
