A couple of quick clicks can help you lessen (but not eliminate) the security risks in the brand-new Google Chrome browser.Because the Google Chrome security flaw discussed here yesterday makes malicious downloads a real risk, and because users may not even be aware the download is taking place, it's urgent that you and any of your staff and employees who choose to run Chrome take a simple step to keep the bad guys from covering their malware tracks.
Note: the following is NOT a fix; Google is reported to be working on a patch that eliminates the WebKit/Java vulnerability combo that makes the malware downloads possible, but the patch isn't out yet.
The procedure described here is a precaution, one every Chrome user should take:
1. Click on the wrench in Chrome's upper right corner.
