Former Opera Exec Joins Comodo
Identity management company Comodo names Carsten Fischer director of product marketing
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Comodo, a global Certification Authority and leading provider of Identity and Trust Assurance Management solutions, announced today that Carsten Fischer has joined the company as Director of Product Marketing, coming to Comodo from Opera. In his new role, Carsten will be responsible for the creation, support and expansion of Comodo's Identity and Trust Assurance (ITA) family of products.
Mr. Fischer brings 15 years of experience in the technology sector and in product marketing . Most recently, Carsten served as a strategic marketing lead for Opera's desktop products where he developed business strategies for Opera solutions and software business. During this time, Carsten was focused on improving both identity assurance processes within browsers as well as enhancing user experience. Carsten also played a key role in the CAB Forum - an association initiated by Comodo that brings together browser providers and leading certification authorities to establish online identity assurance guidelines.
Carsten's other experience also includes SuSE Linux where he was solution architect, responsible for conceptualizing and launching core Linux products to new markets. Carsten also worked as a journalist and held several marketing communications positions working with companies like BBC, Beosweb and the German broadcast industry.
