PRESS RELEASE
Redwood City, Calif. – October 19, 2010 – Replay Solutions (www.replaysolutions.com), a pioneer in continuous application monitoring, software debugging and defect resolution technology, today announced that Larry Lunetta has joined the company as president, CEO and member of the board. Lunetta replaces co-founder Jonathan Lindo, who will continue to lead development and partnerships with Replay Solutions as vice president of products and technology.
Lunetta is well known as a driving force behind ArcSight, where he served in numerous vice president and c-level roles. During his seven-year tenure at ArcSight, Lunetta helped launch the company from stealth mode to publicly traded industry leader doing more than $100 million in annual sales. Lunetta has also worked at the executive level at several startup and public Silicon Valley companies, including: ePAC Technologies, Branders.com, and Caere (now Nuance) Corp. Lunetta is also a guest lecturer in entrepreneurship studies at Arizona State University.
“We’re excited to have a seasoned executive with a proven track record of success like Larry join our team,” said Lindo. “Replay’s innovative technology is helping to drive the DevOps movement, and we are in a great position to capitalize on our technology lead and customer momentum to continue the expansion of our user base and market share. Larry’s enterprise experience will be key to our success.”
As CEO of Replay Solutions, Lunetta will focus on continuing Replay’s recent growth in the application monitoring market while broadening the company’s solution set. In August, the company launched the industry’s first-ever Log Amplification solution, which allows system administrators and developers to access logging data beyond what was originally generated at the time of execution. The company was also awarded a U.S. patent in June, and earlier this year they announced a cloud-based version of ReplayDIRECTOR™, the company's patented DVR-like solution for security issues, performance problems and application defects.
The modern software environment is rapidly changing as more applications move to the cloud. In the past, software developers’ focus was on functionality. Today, however, security and compliance are heavily intertwined with software quality, and defect resolution is more important than ever. With his strong background in enterprise software, Lunetta recognizes the value that Replay offers customers concerned with improving their development and test efficiency while decreasing the likelihood of hidden, exploitable defects.
“As Replay founders, Jonathan Lindo and Jeff Daudel have built a great foundation for rapid growth in a very large market. The battleground for security and compliance has expanded from packets and infrastructure to applications, data and user activity. Today, every development project needs to be prepared to not only deliver code more rapidly, but safely as well,” said CEO Larry Lunetta. “By continuously monitoring and recording applications at the code level with 100% fidelity, including database activity and load, Replay Solutions empowers application teams not only to improve quality, but also to more efficiently close off avenues of exploitation by finding and fixing the bugs and trapdoors that often elude standard debug processes.”
