PRESS RELEASE

TORONTO, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Echoworx Corporation (www.echoworx.com) a leading provider of email and data encryption for enterprises announces enhanced Encrypted Documents for endpoint encryption. The newest release of Encrypted Documents now gives companies the power to automatically encrypt files and folders on their employees' laptops, computers, network drives and even removable media devices if the files meet the requirements of the companies' pre-defined policies. Encrypted Documents already gives employees the ability to encrypt files at their option. This latest version helps companies mitigate the risk of liability for employees who forget to encrypt and protect sensitive data.

Data breaches continue to rise, and according to Ponemon Institute, lost business can account for 69% of data breach costs. In these difficult economic times companies are taking important steps to ensure their data is always secure and avoid any unnecessary security risks.

"Data breaches from loss or theft have become a growing concern with many companies and government organizations," said Michael Ginsberg, President and CEO of Echoworx. "We hear about laptops and USB key losses on an almost daily basis. Echoworx Encrypted Documents is an important addition to our endpoint data loss prevention suite of services, and most recently in the United Kingdom, one of our customers was awarded the prestigious GC Data Security Award, for their implementation of Encrypted Documents. We believe these added product enhancements will further strengthen this important data loss prevention solution."

About Encrypted Documents

Encrypted Documents is integrated with Windows Explorer and includes a central administration console that allows the Enterprise's administrator to easily set and manage policies and monitor usage. IT Administrators are able to add and remove policies through the Administration Console, which fall under the following categories:

Encrypt by Folder -- For example, encrypt all files in users' 'My Documents' folders.

Encrypt by File Type -- For example, encrypt all Microsoft Office file types (.pptx, docx, .xlsx). Particular files (like .mp3 or .wma) can be added to an 'exclude list' so they are never encrypted.

Data Loss Prevention Control -- Enforce data loss prevention with policies:

-- Auto Encryption -- Unique policies can be configured based on file type or folder location. -- Data Loss Protection -- Data cannot be copied to a USB device or can be copied based on authorization e.g. password.

This application allows businesses to have the flexibility of sharing information securely and easily with others, including individual and groups (such as finance, human resources or the legal department), and at the same time complying with the growing number of privacy and data protection laws and regulations.

Encrypted Documents is cost effective and simple to use. Enterprises pay a low monthly fee per end user, and as a fully hosted solution, it does not require any additional infrastructure or operations costs.
