ISLANDIA, N.Y. -- CA (NYSE: CA) today announced that three of its security management solutions - CA Integrated Threat Management r8, CA Access Control for Windows r8, and CA Directory r8.1 - have achieved Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 3 certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS). This level of security certification independently validates the quality and efficacy of these three CA solutions.

Common Criteria is an internationally recognized security certification required by the U.S. and other governments worldwide for departments and agencies seeking to procure commercial products. Common Criteria certification also assures businesses that a product meets a standard measure of security, whether it is used internally or in solutions for customers. CA's security management products are certified for the EAL 3 level of the Common Criteria scheme, as defined by ISO/IEC 15408-2 and ISO/IEC 15408-3 - which address product functionality, development environment, documentation, and product testing measures.

"These certifications independently confirm CA's ability to deliver the strong protection customers need to safeguard their complex enterprise computing environments from today's extremely insidious and diverse range of cyber-threats - while also facilitating the fast, highly automated enablement of business services wherever they're needed," said Bilhar Mann, senior vice president of security management at CA. "CA continues to deliver technologies that uniquely enable IT organizations to cost-effectively address the full range of challenges they face in today's highly dynamic and inter-connected business environment."
