PRESS RELEASE

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Zscaler, Inc., the market leader in Cloud-delivered Security as a Service (SaaS), announced today that not-for-profit Ulster-Greene ARC, based in New York's Hudson River Valley, has selected Zscaler for a range of Web security services and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance.

Ulster-Greene ARC (cq) serves people with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. Previously, the Agency backhauled Web traffic from 35 locations to two central locations for URL filtering by traditional proxy servers. Now, with Zscaler, each of the 35 Internet gateways simply forwards Internet-bound traffic to the Zscaler cloud, where policy-based, in-depth bi-directional threat inspection is performed. This results in an improved security posture and prevents Personal Health Information (PHI) escaping via Web 2.0 channels such as Webmail, Instant Messaging and blog postings.

"With Zscaler, we now can now enforce consistent Internet access policies, whether employees are at our office, on the road or at home," said Bart Louwagie, director of IT at Ulster-Greene ARC. "Zscaler's Web 2.0 security and Data Leakage Protection functionality is very easy, yet very powerful. Zscaler saves bandwidth cost, improves user satisfaction by eliminating latency and performance issues, and reduces IT administration. It's an IT director's dream."

"Zscaler's purpose-built SaaS architecture is ideal to secure organizations and users, and provide managed access across multiple locations without introducing latency," said Jay Chaudhry, CEO, Zscaler. "We are glad to partner with Ulster-Greene ARC to provide them the most comprehensive Web security at an affordable cost."
