PRESS RELEASE

San Francisco, CA, April 20, 2009 " Continuing a tradition begun with its first release in 2001, Authentify, the global leader in out-of-band[1] authentication introduced Release 6.0 of its authentication platform at the 2009 RSA Security Conference.

Authentify 6.0 features new carrier grade SS7 support, allowing Authentify to leverage additional layers of data from the telephone network to provide improved call analysis and control of the outbound call. The new 6.0 also includes enhanced data for call routing, number porting and call forward protection, as well as data sources for virtual numbers. "Beyond the authentication factor present in the end user's ability to answer the phone call itself, clients are looking for additional information to help make informed decisions and ultimately determine the trustworthiness of an online transaction. With 6.0 we are offering an innovative set of tools to help clients achieve that objective," said Andy Rolfe, Chief Technology Officer for Authentify, Inc. "The SS7 data and telephone analytics can do for digital transactions what Address Verification Services (AVS) offer to businesses that physically ship products."

Data about a particular telephone number is delivered to clients in real-time as part of Authentify's patented process that synchronizes a user's computer session and an automated telephone call. Release 6.0 also improves Authentify's support for One time Password (OTP) via SMS (test message) processes both nationally and internationally. Authentify's SMS authentication for online transactions is a cost effective way for clients to use out-of-band authentication when the client does not require a user's voice recording of spoken consent or other features available in an automated phone call.
