Black Hat USA 2015: Corporate (Cyber)Warfare

Few targets are more tempting to criminals (or have more to lose) than corporate enterprises, so enterprises can't afford to slack off on cybersecurity. Today's three Black Hat USA 2015 training highlights explore aspects of high-end enterprise security.

You're the CIO. Thousands of dollars worth of defenses have failed. Your network's breached. What do you do when the unthinkable happens? Your mind might be racing, but good management skills and decisive leadership determine the success of incident responses as much as vendor solutions or employee technical skills. Crisis Management: Beyond Incident Response will be a practical course that aims develop thhe crisis and incident response skills that help you plan, respond, and execute a successful crisis response with little or no impact to the organization.

What else can go wrong in an enterprise? Well, SAP platforms often contain the business crown jewels, but many are prone to SAP-specific vulnerabilities that expose the organization to espionage, sabotage, and financial fraud risk. You'll learn all about these threats at ERP Security: Assess, Exploit and Defend SAP Platforms, a training that will provide the latest information on SAP-specific attacks and protection techniques. Security managers, auditors, and infosec pros will learn how to assess SAP platforms for platform-specific vulnerabilities, exploit them to better understand the business risks, and mitigate the issues holistically.

Finally, let's talk pure defense. How do you successfully defend an enterprise? You need first-hand knowledge of real-world offensive mindsets, which can differ from approaches used by pentesters. Attack Research's popular Tactical Response training offers key insights into real-world attack techniques and how to counter them. You'll learn how to manipulate enterprise tools and infrastructures in unusual ways for better security, build custom logging tools for detecting lateral movement, persistence mechanisms, data targeting and exfiltration, the best ways to provide actionable data to decision makers, and much more across a busy two days.

Black Hat USA 2015 will occur at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas. It goes down August 1-6, so there's plenty of time to lock in early-bird discounts.
