The attack has defaced the channels with images and content supporting Donald Trump.
Dozens of Reddit channels have been defaced with messages supporting Donald Trump in an attack that has some seeing eerie echoes of the recent Twitter attack that took over major influencer and political accounts.
Many of the channels hit by the attack focus on sports, television, entertainment, and specific cities. All told, the channels have a reach in the tens of millions of subscribers.
The attackers took over a number of moderator accounts, including several that had not enabled two-factor authentication. At this time, the attack is ongoing but remediation is underway.
