Qualcomm Webinar: Securing Employee Data
Entitlement management leader Securent sponsors webinar on securing sensitive employee data
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Securent, Inc., the award-winning leader in the Entitlement Management market, today announced that members of the media are invited to register for a webinar on securing sensitive employee data. Tom Bridges, director of composite applications and portal development, QUALCOMM, will be the featured speaker, delivering a case study presentation that outlines “A Practical Approach to Securing Sensitive Employee Data” on Thursday, November 15, 9-10 a.m. pacific standard time.
Every day, large companies make front page news by inadvertently leaking employee data, resulting in significant legal and financial liability, a damaged corporate reputation, and a distracted executive team. Like the security and compliance driven requirements of many Fortune 500 enterprises, QUALCOMM has a need to assert fine-grained access control on its applications and data. Previously, QUALCOMM addressed this need through internal custom development because standards and standard-compliant products did not exist in the marketplace – until recently.
In this presentation Tom Bridges will share the drivers for fine-grained access control within HR applications. He will also discuss the architectural approach QUALCOMM selected to address the needs for fine-grained access control in a cost-effective and consistent manner, using Extensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) as the standard.
