Expert Alliance selects Ahkun and Imperva for database audit and compliance
FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- ImpervaR, the global leader in data security and compliance solutions for the data center, today announced that Expert Alliance Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese mutual aid association has deployed the SecureSphereR Database Monitoring Gateway (DMG) to strengthen control over the personal information stored in its databases. Deploying SecureSphere is one of the necessary steps toward the company's goal of acquiring a life insurance business license from the Finance Agency of Japan. SecureSphere will help Expert Alliance exceed data management requirements set by the country's Agency for life insurance companies.
In order to meet the Japanese Agency of Finance requirement that insurance companies establish and maintain internal controls over personal information belonging to customers, Expert Alliance evaluated various database audit products. The Company selected SecureSphere for its comprehensive reporting and audit capabilities, simple to use management interface, ease of deployment, and ability to block unauthorized transactions.
"The ability to monitor, report on, and audit database activity without deteriorating the response times of our business applications was a key requirement in our selection process," said Mr. Noboru Watari, IT Planning Department, Expert Alliance Co., Ltd. "SecureSphere was the only product among many which we investigated that imposed zero impact on application performance. We are extremely impressed by how easy this product is to use as well as how quickly we were able to deploy it."
"Expert Alliance is an excellent example of how audit and compliance requirements are driving the need for database monitoring and security across a wide range of industries in the Asia Pacific region," said Michael Lyu, Vice President of Asia Pacific sales for Imperva. "While companies recognize the importance of database audit and protection, they are not willing to sacrifice performance. SecureSphere's ability to monitor, report on, and block database activity without slowing down response times, sets it apart from the competition."
