PRESS RELEASE

Alpharetta, GA, October 13, 2015 – SECUDE, an SAP partner and a leading data security provider specializing in security for SAP software, plans to announce additional capabilities of its flagship data-centric security solution, Halocore, at the SAP® TechEd® conference being held Oct. 19-23 in Las Vegas, where the company will participate as an exhibitor in booth160. The SAP TechEd conference focuses on technology with an emphasis on collaboration and hands-on workshops, going beyond technical education.

Halocore helps customers strengthen the security of data extracted from their SAP applications, thereby helping to protect intellectual property and other sensitive information while assisting in the prevention of potential data loss or malicious theft. Now with the added support for SAP Crystal Reports® software and SAP BusinessObjects™ Web Intelligence® software, Halocore is able to track, monitor and block reports containing sensitive information directly from SAP BusinessObjects business intelligence (BI) solutions.

SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions are designed to help users perform business analytics and generate insightful reports to make better business decisions. Information contained in these reports is often highly sensitive and may include trade secrets and other business-related data that is confidential in nature, making this information a potential target for cyber criminals and malicious insiders. Users often extract those reports from SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions, leaving this information vulnerable and exposed in enterprises that lack oversight or control over documents extracted from SAP-based systems.

“Our goal is to provide users of SAP software with a high level of control and security over sensitive documents downloaded from SAP applications, thus helping enterprises to run their business processes in the most efficient and secure way possible,” said Michael Kummer, President Americas at SECUDE. “We’re excited to maximize the value we bring to customers who utilize SAP Crystal Reports and SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence in their decision making processes. With Halocore, users now have a unique ability to track and analyze data extraction activity from SAP BusinessObjects BI applications and to prevent certain reports containing highly sensitive data from even leaving the software, before they can reach the user’s front-end. This innovative approach allows enterprises to isolate their internal threats and reduce the risk of unwanted information exposure.”

Halocore is data protection technology designed for the users of SAP software. Halocore enables companies to identify sensitive data exports with context-aware classification, track and analyze all download activity from SAP applications, prevent potential data loss with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) functionality, and secure sensitive information with fine-grained permission policies. By extending its auditing and blocking capabilities to SAP Crystal Reports and SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, Halocore enables enterprises to gain visibility and control over sensitive information contained in reports coming out of this software.
