Onapsis Appoints CTO of Veracode, Chris Wysopal, to Board of Advisors

Cyber security expert, thought leader and entrepreneur to help Onapsis further transform how organizations approach business-critical application security

Boston, MA – February 19, 2015 – Onapsis, the global experts in business-critical application security, has appointed security expert Chris Wysopal to its Board of Advisors.

Wysopal is the CTO and CISO of cloud-based application security firm Veracode, which he co-founded in 2006. His 20 years of information security experience includes vulnerability researcher at L0pht Heavy Industries, a Boston-based hacker think tank and one of the first hackerspaces, and VP of research and development for @stake where he was involved the invention of binary static analysis technology.

In his new role Wysopal will support Onapsis as it continues to lead the market in business-critical application security, and he will provide insight on the expansion of the threat intelligence currently offered by the Onapsis Research Labs and technology guidance on the company’s innovative software platforms. 

Wysopal’s recognition includes being named one of the 100 most influential people in IT by eWeek, selected for the InfoWorld CTO 25, and named in SC Magazine’s 5 Security Thought Leaders. The author of ‘The Art of Security Software Testing’, Wysopal has testified to the U.S. Congress on government security and software vulnerabilities.
