PRESS RELEASE

NEW YORK CITY – January 26, 2016 – Fireglass today announces a $20 million Series A funding round. Following multiple production deployments at fortune 500 customers, Fireglass plans to use the funding to expand research and development efforts in addition to building out its sales, marketing and support teams in North America and Europe.

Fireglass was founded by security experts with more than three decades of combined industry experience in building military and enterprise grade security solutions. The funding is led by Norwest Venture Partners (investor in FireEye), Lightspeed Venture Partners (investor in Zscaler), Singtel Innov8 (investor in MobileIron), co-founder of Imperva and Trusteer Mickey Boodaei and co-founder of Trusteer, Rakesh Loonkar.

“Fireglass is extremely honored to partner with this influential group of investors, and we believe this round of investment validates the advancements Fireglass has achieved in the cybersecurity world,” said Guy Guzner, CEO, Fireglass. “We are seeing an outstanding response from deployments at Fortune 500 enterprises looking to boost and consolidate their existing protection measures, and we’re proud to offer a solution that enables businesses to operate both productively and securely.”

Born from the increasing demand for effective security controls that also align with key business needs, Fireglass gives businesses assurance their stakeholders and valuable information are safe from all types of cyber assailants. The company’s inception in 2014 came after its founders realized current security approaches are inherently behind the curve. Founders Guy Guzner and Dan Amiga, CTO, formerly held leadership positions at Check Point Software (NASDAQ: CHKP) and Schneider-Electric (EPA: SU), respectively. Amiga, who comes from an Israeli military intelligence background, partnered with Guzner to provide an enterprise-grade security technology that utilizes the no-compromise military approach.

“The phenomenal team behind Fireglass’ innovative approach has transformed the way businesses can protect themselves from any malicious and harshly detrimental cyber attacks,” said Dror Nahumi, General Partner, Norwest Venture Partners. “We are passionate about the great strides Fireglass has made to advance cybersecurity in the right direction, and we look forward to working with the team to continue pushing the envelope in creating truly secure solutions.”

Mickey Boodaei, renowned information security entrepreneur and investor, believes Fireglass’ fresh take on prevention can reduce the massive impact cyber attacks had on large enterprise and on financial institutions specifically. "Enterprises have long battled with cybersecurity issues. With the number of cyber security incidents constantly on the rise, companies are feeling the weight of additional capital and operating costs," said Boodaei. "The ever-increasing threat to enterprise’s valuable information has garnered a significant uptick in security budgets, and the exceptional minds behind Fireglass have developed a solution that can both alleviate that burden and put security challenges to rest."

Fireglass will announce its product in Q1/16 and will be at RSA Conference 2016 (booth N5012) in San Francisco, February 29 to March 4.
