The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) has been tracking trends in application security for over a decade. In 2003, when the foundation released its first Top 10 list of app sec risks, the list was based on members’ experiences. Today, the data is culled from more than a half-million vulnerabilities, across hundreds of organizations and thousands of applications.

In our next episode of Dark Reading Radio, on Wednesday, September 24, we’ll take a look at some of the latest trends in application security and the hot topics that created the most buzz at AppSecUSA, the foundation’s annual conference attended by an assortment of developers, security auditors, risk managers, security execs, and government and law enforcement officials, held last week in Denver.
