PRESS RELEASE

CUPERTINO, Calif., Dec. 8, 2008 - Solidcore(r) Systems, Inc., the leader in retail system security, change audit and configuration control, today announced that world-renowned computer and cyber security expert Howard A. Schmidt has joined Solidcore's advisory board. Schmidt will provide Solidcore with valuable insight on product strategy, assist with strategic partnership efforts, and serve as a resource for marketing and development teams.

"With malware growing at exponential rates, solutions that rely on blacklisting, such as anti-virus, cannot keep pace from either a security or an operational perspective. This is especially true on specifically targeted perimeter systems such as point-of-service devices," said Schmidt. "To deal with this problem it requires a new approach and I'm eager to begin working with this exciting company to achieve this."

"This is another exceptional milestone for Solidcore and we are honored to have Howard join the Solidcore team," said Anne Bonaparte, president and CEO of Solidcore. "We will leverage Howard's expertise to hone our advancements in dynamic whitelisting and accelerate the adoption of our products in key vertical markets, including retail where Solidcore is quickly becoming a standard for securing POS systems."
