Vanguard Unveils Security Admin Tools

Vanguard Integrity Professionals announced new enhancements to its unique line of enterprise-wide security software

LAS VEGAS -- Vanguard Integrity Professionals, the leader in enterprise security solutions, today announced new enhancements to its unique line of enterprise-wide security software. The Vanguard software manages the entire enterprise as a single secure domain, which enables companies to lower their total cost of security management by eliminating security software licenses and administration costs on individual servers.

With Vanguard’s ez software products, users and data on distributed systems can be administered from a single point with a common interface. The software provides a complete and unprecedented integrated solution for universal sign on, intrusion protection and detection, enterprise-wide application authentication, authorization and auditing, compliance and reporting, and two-factor user authentication. The new versions of Vanguard’s ez software products will be demonstrated at the 21st annual Vanguard Enterprise Security Expo™ and RACF® Users Training 2007, which will be held June 10 -14 in St. Louis.

Univar USA is the leading chemical distributor in the United States, providing more chemical products and related services than any other company in the marketplace. The company, which employs more than 3,500 people at 79 U.S. locations, is using Vanguard ez/SignOn and PasswordReset software to authenticate users and reset user passwords throughout the enterprise.

“It was important that our users sign on to Windows and the mainframe using the same user ID and password. After evaluating several options, we found that Vanguard offered the best solution,” said Chris Norgaard, lead security architect at Univar USA. “Vanguard ez/SignOn software is much less expensive than any other option and virtually eliminates maintenance costs. Plus, deployment is so easy – just point to a machine, click ‘deploy,’ and the software installs automatically.”
