West Coast Labs Reports Revenue Growth, New Hires

Also opens two test facilities to broaden the base of testing capacity for its global client base

Cardiff, UK, January 14, 2009 - West Coast Labs, part of the Haymarket Media Group and one of the world's leading independent test facilities for information security products and services, today announced year-over-year growth in revenue; investment in senior talent with seven new hires across the sales, research, and testing departments; and opening of two test facilities to broaden the base of testing capacity for its global client base.

"Responding to increased demand for testing services, the marketing benefits our certification offers our customers, and the changing landscape in security threats facing organizations worldwide, we have made considerable investments in additional senior staff, infrastructure and partnerships," said Chris Thomas, operations director, West Coast Labs.

New Hires & Additional Testing Facilities In 2008, West Coast Labs expanded its sales team with the hiring of several key senior level sales executives and restructured the European sales efforts to better align with market segmentation and to provide more tailored and customized sales attention to existing and new accounts.

New hires include Martin Hallett, sales manager, Sebastian Stoughton, sales manager; and Mark Thomas, account manager. Together these three additions will focus their efforts on servicing existing clients and assisting new companies seeking leading edge product testing and certification.

According to Thomas, "West Coast Labs prides itself on providing superior test and technical services. We are fixated on wanting our services to be leading-edge, relevant and ahead of what anyone else can offer."

In anticipation of ambitious testing plans and in response to market needs, West Coast Labs invested in broadening its testing capacity with the opening of two new test facilities - one in Irvine, California and another in Delhi, India - and hiring senior level technical talent to ensure the highest standard of technical services and testing methodology. These new hires include:

* Lysa Myers, a veteran of the IT security industry for more than 10 years, joined West Coast Labs as Director of Research. Based out of the organization's newest test facility in Irvine, Calif., Myers will serve the information security vendor audiences and the corporate end user market by providing up-to-date research and observations of the ever-changing corporate IT security landscape, to ensure the delivery of unrivaled product testing and certification programs. * Andre Hall, senior test engineer, joins the Irvine facility and brings a wealth of skills in security technologies. * Matt Garrad, based in the UK, is now promoted to the director of technical services and is responsible for delivery of all test methodologies. * Gurdeep Dhaillon, senior test engineer based in the Delhi Lab, who is responsible for all testing activities in the Asia region. He joins West Coast Labs after a successful career with leading security technology vendors in India.

About West Coast Labs Part of the Haymarket Media Group, West Coast Labs is a global leader in technical research, testing and the Checkmark Certification of information security products and services.
