TrustPort Rolls Out Security Software Upgrades

New product versions target SOHO, enterprise markets

January 6, 2009, Brno, Czech Republic - Protecting electronic data and communications is a never ending task. As new threats emerge, new methods develop to tackle these threats. One of the significant players that stand on the front line against viruses, spyware and spam, is called TrustPort. Although quite young as a standalone company, its products are based on eighteen years of refining tools for computer security. TrustPort headquarters are located in Brno, Czech Republic, in the heart of Europe, but the company is gradually gaining great reputation in many countries around the globe. TrustPort solutions can be divided into two groups, one for home users and small offices, one for corporate clients. As for the former, there are two major products available, TrustPort Antivirus and TrustPort PC Security, both of them providing advanced data protection by means of multiple antivirus engines. As for the latter, TrustPort Net Gateway and TrustPort WebFilter show the way of progressive network defense, along with TrustPort Management, a central administration tool for both TrustPort Antivirus and TrustPort PC Security.

Entering the new year, TrustPort is coming to the market with new versions of the above mentioned products. Solutions targeted at the home segment, TrustPort Antivirus 2009 and TrustPort PC Security 2009, distinguish themselves by stylish and clean graphical user interface. They also bring new functionality, pushing them ahead of relevant competitors.

One of the most important new features is the parental lock technology, enabling sophisticated filtering of web content, aimed primarily at child protection. Another big asset of the software is the antiphishing module, effectively stopping any attempts to steal sensitive personal data. Rare qualities represent modules for creating portable antivirus on flash drive and for preparing system recovery disk.

New versions of server-side solutions, TrustPort Net Gateway 5.2 and WebFilter 5.2, also bring new methods to face current security risks. Among the innovations, antispam shield technology, preventing massive spam attacks, automatic whitelist, ensuring delivery of legitimate mail, and antiphishing filter, blocking fraudulent mail, are examples of the most important ones.

TrustPort portfolio covers all major data security issues, it provides solutions for all types of clients. The quality of antivirus protection, included in TrustPort products, is evidenced by results of the AV-Comparatives and VB100 independent tests, which continually rank TrustPort among the top antivirus producers. The goal of the company is to further develop its global partner network and thereby utilize the potential of its products. -----
