Summit Partners Invests in NetWitness

Investment will be used to fund additional technology acquisitions and other strategic initiatives

HERNDON, VA and BOSTON, MA " January 13, 2010 " NetWitness Corporation, the world leader in advanced threat intelligence and real-time network forensics, announced today that it has received an investment from growth equity investor Summit Partners. The investment will be used to fund additional technology acquisitions and other strategic initiatives related to the company's industry-leading network security technology.

The announcement comes one week after NetWitness released its 2009 financial results, which included a doubling of revenue over the prior year, its sixth straight quarter of profitability, and explosive growth across all corporate performance measures.
