Secureworks plans to acquire vulnerability management company Delve Laboratories as part of an effort to expand its threat detection and response tool with new integrations and analytics.

Montreal-based Delve was founded in 2014 and has since developed an automated platform that relies on artificial intelligence and machine learning to scan for, detect, and manage vulnerability prioritization and remediation. Its software aims to help businesses both learn where vulnerabilities are located and which present the greatest risk to their business networks.

Secureworks plans to use this technology to strengthen its cloud-based Red Cloak platform and extend its Threat Detection and Response (TDR) application with new integrations, analytics, and user experience improvements, officials said in a statement. Delve's all-in-one product also will be available for sale as part of Secureworks' portfolio later this quarter.

The acquisition is expected to finalize by the end of Secureworks' fiscal third quarter. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
