StillSecure Launches New Log Management Service

ProtectPoint consolidates and organizes log events from network systems, devices, applications, and other tools

(Superior, Colo. - May 4, 2010) - StillSecure', provider of secure network infrastructure solutions, today announced its new ProtectPointT Log Management service which consolidates and organizes log events from the full breadth of network systems, devices, applications, and other tools. ProtectPoint Log Management provides detailed visibility into the network to ensure that critical events are investigated and remediated. Further, the ProtectPoint Log Management service proactively prevents breaches by locking down IT systems and bringing them into compliance with regulatory requirements. For audit and forensic purposes all data is securely stored with full chain of custody tagging.

ProtectPoint Log Management helps users with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS v1.2, HIPAA (HITECH), GLBA, and others. The service provides real-time regulatory reporting, available through StillSecure's secure RADART customer portal, and also helps meet specific log management requirements such as those outlined in PCI v1.2.1, Requirement 10. Data is immediately available for analysis and retained for a minimum of 1 year to satisfy compliance, forensics, and management requirements.

The cornerstone of StillSecure's ProtectPoint Log Management service is the company's 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC), which is staffed by a team of security analysts who monitor logs to ensure that anomalous events, trends, and activities are pinpointed, escalated, and addressed in real-time. Event alerting, correlation, escalation, and forensics processes are all utilized to ensure that millions of data points are automatically translated into prioritized, actionable events that keep customer networks secure and compliant. The service accommodates all log types to provide comprehensive coverage and reporting across the entire network and server infrastructure.

"We are excited to add StillSecure's new log management service to our portfolio because it helps us provide customers with the full breadth of security services required to effectively lock down the network," said Richard Reiffer, CTO, Trivalent Group, Inc. "It's a win-win because a log management service saves customers time, money, and resources while providing us with an opportunity to drive increased monthly recurring revenue."

Additional features of the ProtectPoint Log Management service include: . Agentless and agent-based log collection . Log archival and retention to ProtectPoint appliance or customer SAN . Customer trouble ticket integration via email . Physical or virtual appliance deployment options available

"StillSecure's log management service provides many benefits over the 'do it yourself' model," said Dave Greenstein, Chief Architect at StillSecure. "For a low monthly subscription, customers receive 24x7x365 coverage, avoid upfront costs in hardware and software, and save time and money on the resources required to manage, track, and report on log findings."
