Sophos Partners With D&H Distributing To Tackle SMB Security Challenges

D&H will distribute Sophos' threat management and data protection software solutions in North America

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 9, 2011) - IT security and data protection company Sophos announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with D&H Distributing, a leading North American technology distributor, to expand the company's channel reach in the small and midsize business (SMB) market. D&H will distribute Sophos' threat management and data protection software solutions in North America.

The volume of malware continues to grow exponentially each year, and attacks are becoming more complex, often exploiting weaknesses in commonly used applications and on the Web. Today's small businesses are often underprepared to keep up with the changing security landscape and by the increasing list of compliance mandates. Businesses need security solutions that offer advanced protection without complexity against today's and future threats. Through this relationship, Sophos reaffirms its commitment to empowering partners with the ability to deliver tremendous value to their customers through its full-featured products that address threats comprehensively and protect business and customer information.

"As our momentum in the SMB market continues to grow, D&H will allow us to gain access to a broader network of resellers in North America," said Matt Fogelgren, director of North American channel sales at Sophos. "D&H are experts in the SMB market, and their experience and knowledge selling IT solutions and supporting resellers make it a perfect fit for Sophos. This agreement opens up new opportunities for both Sophos and D&H, and we look forward to working together to meet the growing demand for security solutions."

Through this partnership, Sophos gains access to D&H's extensive channel and partner network, including over 25,000 resellers who service the SMB market. In turn, D&H's channel partners add Sophos's award-winning encryption, endpoint security, Web, email, and mobile control solutions -- offering coordinated threat and data protection from every endpoint to any network boundary. Built specifically to provide complete, simple security for companies with fewer than 100 employees, SMBs will benefit from the Sophos Small Business Edition including the Sophos Security Suite, Sophos Computer Security, and Sophos Anti-Virus. Also, partners can offer key solutions such as Sophos Endpoint Security, Sophos for Microsoft SharePoint, Sophos Mobile Control and Safeguard Easy.

"Threats and malware are evolving faster than ever, and companies are struggling to protect users and data from these increasingly complex security threats," said Rob Eby, vice president of purchasing at D&H Distributing. "We are committed to delivering solutions through our reseller relationships that ensure the security and protection of the end-users' business environments. Sophos' innovative solutions meet the growing needs of businesses through a simple and robust portfolio, protecting SMB employees and their data, regardless of where they are or what device they are using."
