With its $300 million acquisition of Evident.io, Palo Alto Networks adds security and compliance automation to its cloud security line-up.
Palo Alto Networks Inc. expects to seal the deal to buy the five-year-old startup by April 30, according to the March 14 announcement.
Evident.io specializes in API-based security and helps enterprises and cloud providers ensure compliance by analyzing configuration of services and account settings against security and compliance controls. Evident.io works with Amazon Web Services LLC and Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT)
