PRESS RELEASE

ATLANTA, GA, and LONDON " January 11, 2010: SecureWorks', Inc., a leading global provider of security services protecting 2,700 clients worldwide, received certification as a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) by the PCI Security Standards Council for the company's proprietary Vulnerability Scanning Service. Designation as an ASV means that SecureWorks is qualified to assess an organization's external network environment for compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS).

SecureWorks has delivered PCI compliance solutions for years, leveraging various in-house security technologies in addition to a third-party vulnerability scanning technology to meet the requirements of diverse market segments. This newly certified solution is delivered using SecureWorks' proprietary iScanner 4.0 vulnerability scanning platform, which integrates seamlessly with a broad range of Managed Security Services.

The PCI Data Security Standard is a set of 12 comprehensive requirements for protecting payment account data, and was developed to facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures across all merchants and card service providers. SecureWorks' PCI Scanning Service helps clients meet Requirement 11.2 of the PCI DSS Requirements and Security Assessment Procedures. Requirement 11.2 states that an organization must assess their external network through vulnerability scanning on a quarterly basis and after any significant change to the network.

SecureWorks' PCI Scanning Service identifies exposures and security weaknesses in a client's externally facing systems through remote vulnerability testing. SecureWorks scans for the most current network and application level vulnerabilities, including the most prevalent OWASP vulnerabilities, to meet compliance standards. As a client-driven service, clients have full control of scheduling their vulnerability scans through the SecureWorks Portal. Scans can be run on-demand or scheduled according to the needs of the organization. A streamlined workflow process is also incorporated within the SecureWorks Portal to ensure exposures are properly validated. Once the scanning process is complete, SecureWorks provides each client with an Attestation Report to submit to their bank or acquirer to validate adherence to the PCI Requirement.

"SecureWorks continues to expand its PCI compliance capabilities to provide clients with the controls necessary to protect cardholder information and deliver a complete solution for their PCI DSS efforts," said Dan DeRosa, vice president of product management for SecureWorks. "SecureWorks has successfully assisted merchant and service provider organizations with assessing their environment for many years, and worked with them to bring their systems up to compliance standards. PCI and other compliance standards continue to be an area of focus for many of our clients, and SecureWorks is committed to delivering security solutions that meet clients' evolving needs."
