PRESS RELEASE

Mississauga, Ontario, October 11, 2008 - WinMagic' (www.winmagic.com) today announced that it is continuing and expanding its relationship with Seagate (NASDAQ: STX), the world leader in storage solutions, to deliver integrated endpoint encryption solutions which leverage the Seagate Momentus' FDE hard drives. WinMagic's SecureDoc data protection software is integrated with Seagate's Momentus 7200 FDE drives (in addition to the 5400 FDE drives, which have been integrated since mid-2008).

The Seagate' Momentus' 7200 FDE drives provide up to 320 GB of secure digital storage using Seagate SecureT technology for strong, 'always-on' and fully automated hardware-based full-disk encryption - when this is extended by software applications like SecureDoc from WinMagic, the result is an enterprise-class solution that helps organizations to protect sensitive data and comply with privacy and data breach legislation. SecureDoc provides enterprise manageability, audit trails/reporting, removable media encryption, key management and multi-factor authentication to enhance and complement the power of the Seagate Momentus FDE hard drives.

Seagate Secure represents an easy and effective way to deliver a high level of security for digital information. Hard drives featuring Seagate Secure technology combine capacity, reliability and comprehensive security capabilities to provide powerful data protection. In achieving this certification, WinMagic has proven that its robust applications can manage security functions and interoperate with secure storage on the Seagate Momentus drives.

WinMagic's SecureDoc Enterprise solutions support the use of Momentus FDE drives even in mixed environments. This ability allows IT departments to incrementally roll out the Seagate drives as part of the standard refresh plan - aiding compliance with legislation and audit requirements today while 'future-proofing' the solution by including the advanced hardware encryption technology from Seagate.

"The deployment of laptop encryption across an enterprise or government organization can present many challenges," said Michel Nerrant a VP at WinMagic. "Integration with the Seagate Secure platform and drives like Momentus enables organizations to accelerate deployments in a consistent and predictable manner," continued Nerrant. "SecureDoc already provides a highly secure and powerful solution for the protection of data-at-rest, and together with Seagate, we make it even easier for organizations to protect their data."

"We are pleased to build our security product portfolio with WinMagic," said Tom Major, vice president of Personal Compute Business at Seagate. "WinMagic's solution enables organizations to seamlessly introduce Seagate Secure encrypting hard drives into legacy software encryption environments."
