PRESS RELEASE

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Awareness Technologies today announced that its leading parental computer monitoring software - WebWatcher - is able to track all emails sent to and from BlackBerry devices, making it easier for parents to stay involved in their children's digital lives.

According to the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project, 21% of teens 12-17 years old use email on their phones. Additionally, over a quarter (26%) of teen cell phone users reported having been harassed by someone else through their cell phone.

With this new feature, parents can remotely view the exact contents of every email and SMS text message that is sent or received by their children, as well as see who the messages were sent to and from. The software is easy to install and parents are able to see all text messages and emails sent and received on the phone they are monitoring immediately. WebWatcher also monitors all activity on desktop and laptop computers including email, instant messaging, social networking activity and website visits.

"The plethora of online dangers facing children and teens is unprecedented, and parents have a responsibility to ensure that their children are not being harassed or exposed to inappropriate content on their home computers or cell phones. WebWatcher gives parents the insight they need to uncover underlying issues that may be occurring in their children's lives," said Brad Miller, CEO and Chairman of Awareness Technologies. "We realize the increasing percentage of young people who use smartphone devices and plan to expand WebWatcher Mobile to Android and iPhone devices in 2011."

Awareness Technologies' consumer product, WebWatcher, is the leading parental monitoring software on the market. WebWatcher allows parents to remotely monitor and manage all computer activity, including email, instant messaging, website visits, and social networking activity, as well as block inappropriate websites and programs.
