PRESS RELEASE

ATLANTA – July 19, 2010 – Paymetric, Inc., the leading provider of integrated and secure enterprise payment acceptance solutions, today announced the official launch of the company’s Data Intercept solution for XiSecure On-Demand. Data Intercept can completely eliminate sensitive cardholder data from entering merchants’ enterprise systems, drastically reducing the scope of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance requirements and minimizing the risk of incurring fees, fines and legal costs associated with a potential data breach. The Ponemon Institute estimates that the average cost of a data security breach is $204 per record. Because thieves can’t steal what merchant’s don’t have, Paymetric’s Data Intercept solution offers the ultimate breach protection.

This cutting-edge solution utilizes tokenization technology, which replaces cardholder data with a surrogate number known as a “token.” With Data Intercept for XiSecure On-Demand, cardholder information is intercepted by Paymetric and tokenized at the the time of sale. This secure token is then routed to the merchant with authorization details. This process ensures raw cardholder data never enters the merchant’s systems and dramatically reduces the cost and effort for a merchant to achieve PCI DSS compliance. If properly architected, the solution also may qualify merchants for Self Assessment Questionnaire A (SAQ-A), reducing the number of compliance requirements from 205 to 14.*

“This absolutely removes business risk associated with handling, processing and storing raw cardholder data. Hackers can’t get to what a company doesn’t have,” said Kathleen Nugent, SVP Product Management, Paymetric. “And that means the merchant’s system may not be in scope for PCI DSS compliance. Penalties for non-compliance can be as much as $500,000 per incident, not to mention the cost of making headline news as a result of data integrity compromises. Companies utilizing XiSecure On-Demand with a Data Intercept solution simply don’t have to worry about any of that. ”

Data Intercept solution for XiSecure On-Demand currently is available in two options: Data Intercept for eCommerce and Data Intercept Stand-Alone. In the coming months Paymetric will be releasing an additional solution specifically designed for SAP systems.

“Paymetric continues to lead innovation in the payment security space. Many of our clients are already using Data Intercept solution today and are experiencing solid results, not to mention sleeping better at night. We want to take the worry about cardholder security off their minds completely,” said Larry Wine, CEO, Paymetric.
