PRESS RELEASE

BOULDER (CO) and NEWTOWN (PA) - Oct. 25, 2010 - Symplified, the Cloud security company, and Freedom OSS, the leading Amazon Web Services systems integrator, today announced a partnership to integrate Freedom OSS's recently announced vNOC 2.0 Integrated Cloud Services Management (ICSM) platform - with Symplified's SinglePoint cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) fabric. The partnership creates a single turn-key solution for cloud migration and monitoring processes as well as manages hybrid infrastructures and any web-based application across public and private clouds. Or simply put: Unified access control for web-based Apps.

On October 28th the companies will present a free webinar on securely deploying elastic, global cloud applications using the Amazon Web Services platform. To register visit: http://www.symplified.com/marketing/2010-10-28-webcast-freedomoss/index.html.

Freedom OSS's new vNOC 2.0 combines managed cloud services with a powerful set of tools that allow IT departments to centrally manage cloud-based server applications, operating systems, security patches, and upgrades. It also provides governance for regulatory compliance with standards such as PCI-DSS, ITIL framework and FISM. The integration of Symplified's SinglePoint and vNOC 2.0 now enables organizations to centrally provision/de-provision users, create and enforce access control policies, provide SSO and federated SSO, as well as audit usage across all cloud resources and applications.

"There have always been varying levels of skepticism over embracing cloud services," said Joel Davne, president of Freedom OSS. "By integrating Symplified's unique IAM fabric into our new VNOC 2.0 platform, we have just removed yet another barrier to cloud adoption."

Additional features include:

  • Control access for both SaaS and cloud-hosted applications

    • Federated SSO to SaaS applications including Salesforce, Google, Taleo, Workday, and others through unified portals or 'cloud-tops' using SAML and HTTP-FED

    • Streamlined user provisioning by synchronizing Microsoft Active Directory user account information and changes with cloud application identity repositories maintained in Google Apps, Salesforce.com, and others

    • Enable hybrid clouds by implementing a virtual directory that unifies on-premises and cloud user repositories

    • Migrate on-premises directories to the cloud by using internet-scale and highly available applications such as Salesforce.com and Google Apps as a user repository for authentication and to grant/deny access requests to other cloud applications and resources

"Cloud adoption reflects a seismic shift in IT from the decades-old model of heavy infrastructure to today's on-demand, service-centric approach. Managing the evolving cloud infrastructure stack including operating systems, hardware, applications, and security for cloud deployments, is a daunting challenge for even the most sophisticated IT departments," said Eric Olden, CEO of Symplified. "Freedom OSS provides a powerful solution that brings cloud infrastructures under IT control. Through this partnership, Symplified is adding unified access control, federated SSO and provisioning that bridges enterprise with the cloud - all delivered as secure cloud services."

Freedom OSS vNOC with Symplified SinglePoint will be available from Freedom OSS in Q4 2010. Monthly subscription pricing is based per user per application. Symplified is available in more than 36 data centers worldwide.
