Integration to provide users with a single view of database security posture for breach prevention and compliance

SAN MATEO, Calif.—September 15, 2009—Sentrigo,Inc. the innovator in database security software, today announced it has partnered with Hitachi Data Systems to integrate Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer version 1.2 into Sentrigo's Hedgehog suite of products. The integrated solution will enable IT administrators to centrally monitor database activity in order to gain an unprecedented visibility into databases for breach prevention and regulatory compliance. In addition, Sentrigo's Hedgehog products will be available through Hitachi Data Systems reseller channel across a broad range of vertical industries and geographies.
Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer 1.2 is ideal for mid-market companies that are looking for a cost-effective and easy-to-implement solution for monitoring their IT infrastructure. The software simplifies data center management by providing integrated monitoring of data center servers and IP networks along with Fibre Channel (SAN) networks, LAN and storage systems. This complete view of the data center enables comprehensive performance and availability information across heterogeneous servers, network and storage assets.
Sentrigo's Hedgehog Enterprise software is a host-based solution for real-time database monitoring, auditing and breach prevention. The integration with Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer provides a real time status of the Hedgehog sensors, the databases they are monitoring and threat alerts, all from Hitachi's unified console. In addition, Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer customers can extend their implementation with Sentrigo's virtual patching solution, Hedgehog vPatch, as well as Hedgehog Identifier for tracking and auditing individual user activity accessing the database through pooled connections from applications.

The Integrated Sentrigo Hedgehog and Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer 1.2 solution will enable users to:
Establish the controls needed to enforce security policies that protect the most sensitive data. Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer's unified console will alert on potential security events while Hedgehog will stop rogue transactions based on customer-defined policies.
Quickly deploy virtual patches and protect/alert when vulnerabilities are exploited. Hedgehog vPatch secures the database without requiring database downtime or application testing. It will monitor all actions in the database and match them against rules that detect known exploits and vulnerabilities.
Provide real-time monitoring and prevention, stopping breaches before damage is done. The integrated Sentrigo Hedgehog and Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer solution will monitor in real-time all database transactions, including those generated from stored procedures, triggers, views, obfuscated and encrypted data.
Enforce database security compliance for PCI-DSS, Sarbanes-Oxley, GLBA, HIPPA and other regulations. Hedgehog includes pre-built templates to simplify and accelerate the process of complying with regulations. Wizard-driven processes and reports will help control access to sensitive data and meet key requirements, such as monitoring privileged user behavior and segregating administrative duties.
